Apex Legends’ anti-cheat team says it has fixed two weapon exploits that spread through community videos this week. The fixes are in an update from the Anti Cheat Team, posted to Steam at 7:40am AEDT on Saturday 10 October.
The team’s previous update said it was looking into videos doing the rounds. This post does not say whether these are the same videos.

What was fixed
The post is headed “Competitive Integrity Update – Weapon Exploit Fixes”.
“We’ve deployed fixes for multiple high-profile weapon exploits in Apex Legends this week. You may have seen the videos circulating in community spaces earlier this week.”
It describes two exploits. One allowed an entire magazine to be fired in a single shot.
The other enabled rapid firing and reloading with the Sentinel and the C.A.R. SMG beyond their intended functionality.
What the team says next
The team frames the fixes as one part of a wider job.
“These fixes are part of our broader efforts to protect the integrity of Apex Legends. Alongside addressing exploits, we continue to develop and deploy new anti-cheat detections, strengthen existing systems, and take action against players who undermine fair play. This work is ongoing across multiple fronts, even when individual efforts aren’t always immediately visible.”

The post does not give a patch number, a date for each fix, or a count of players who used either exploit. It does not say whether any accounts were actioned for using them.
