WARDOGS servers come down at 6pm AEST tonight for about an hour. It is the second fix in three days, and the first one came with a warning about bans.
Bulkhead has scheduled a security and stability hotfix for 08:00 UTC on Friday. In Australia that’s 6pm AEST tonight, and the studio expects one hour of downtime, so if you planned an early session, get it in before six or wait until seven.
The hotfix is there “to address minor security and stability issues affecting some players”. The post doesn’t list anything else, so expect the full notes after it lands rather than before.
It follows Update 0.1.2 on Wednesday. That patch fixed the WD-L020 crash, which Bulkhead traced to Windows 11 update KB5124010. If WARDOGS kept closing on you this week, that’s why, so update and try again.
The same patch went after the cash and XP exploits. Revive checks are now server authoritative, and the vehicle fly-through exploit is fixed with its rewards capped. Destroying a placed schematic no longer pays a full reward, because buildable rewards now scale with build progress. Pallets dropped into a FOB outside the zone pay less.
The warning matters more than the fixes. Bulkhead says anyone caught abusing the exploits, “or worse Real Money Trading”, has had their cash and progression reset. It also wrote: “We expected season 01 to have several undiscovered exploits, so up to this point we have been more lenient with first time offenders. That leniency is now over.” From here you risk a permanent ban without warning, so don’t test it.

There is a new way into matches too. Hit DEPLOY and you pick Official, Community, Infantry Mode or Low-Level servers. Bulkhead calls it a first step towards pointing players at those modes. Advanced Filters are back on the Official list, and you can now use a gamepad on the DEPLOY screen.
Next up is Season 02, dated 15 October 2026, and so far Bulkhead has shown a teaser and nothing more. Its 3 million sales post on 26 September said the team is working on Season 02 and beyond. We covered the two million milestone earlier in September.
Not in yet? WARDOGS is in Early Access on Steam for Windows, at A$54.95 on the Australian store when we checked this afternoon.
