Supercell is trimming Dragon Duke’s Fire Heart and the Ruin Knights, and boosting several underused troops. The post gives no date for the changes.

If you attack in Clan Wars or CWL, your army choices are about to shift. Supercell’s balance post is dated 17 October and says the studio is “making a few balance changes”. It does not say when they go live.

The numbers come from TH18 attacks against TH18 bases in Clan Wars and CWL over the last four weeks. Supercell says Fire Heart “shows up in almost 40% of all attacks, and in more than half of attacks with Dragon Duke”. Duke with Fire Heart three-stars about 66% of the time. Without it, that falls to 56%. The overall average is 53%.

Here is what changes for Dragon Duke’s Fire Heart.

  • Bonus HP is around 8% lower at every level.
  • It no longer adds damage.
  • Healing at max level goes from 150 to 140 per second.

The Ruin Witch’s attacks three-star about 76% of the time, the highest of any troop that sees meaningful use. Ruin Knights’ housing space drops from 20 to 18, so Spring Traps can launch them. They also move a little slower, and have slightly less HP and damage.

Several troops get a lift. Hog Rider, Miner and P.E.K.K.A each show up in fewer than 3% of attacks, with three-star rates between 20% and 35%. Hog Rider and Super Hog Rider get more HP. Miner and Super Miner get more HP at max levels. P.E.K.K.A gets more damage. Meteor Golem gets more HP, which also raises Meteormite HP.

On equipment, Frozen Arrow’s slow rises by 5 percentage points at every level, and its max-level damage goes from 168 to 175. Portal Pendant now gives bonus HP, reaching 1,200 at max level.

Supercell says it will keep watching “how attacks shake out” and tweak again if needed.
