Bitcoin, Meme Coin And Lottery Scams Reworked In Update 0.1.73
Scam With Your Friends has a new update. The Steam post, published at 2:46pm AEDT on Saturday 17 October, opens with “Major speech recognition, crash, and authentication fixes.”
The Bitcoin and Meme Coin scams become live investment rounds. Players pitch the coin, get the caller to invest, then choose when to cash out for up to $700. Values rise toward a randomly timed market crash.
Reassuring the caller delays their withdrawal, but the post says it cannot prevent the crash. Cashing out is still possible while the market falls. Getting caught, losing the caller or waiting too long forfeits that round’s unpaid earnings.

Lottery Prize is reworked as well. The caller emails a ticket, the player enters the confirmation code, then scratches all three numbers. Tickets can pay $0, $200, $500 or $1,000, with a 5 per cent jackpot chance.
Police Impersonation now asks for the caller’s fine payment confirmation number to collect the payout. Investment Scam asks for the caller’s invoice number. Password Recovery is removed from the app store and scam selection.
Speech recognition gets most of the speech fixes. Automatic microphone levelling is on by default and can be switched off in General settings, where the level can be set from 50 per cent to 200 per cent. Moonshine English speech recognition is added for PCs on the compatibility path, and Whisper is restored on older Windows processors with AVX but without AVX2.

Experimental speech recognition and caller voices arrive for Windows ARM and Snapdragon PCs. Qwen3 speech remains unavailable on those machines, and elsewhere it now needs a compatible GPU and switches off if speech takes more than seven seconds to start.
The sign-in changes include a backup sign-in address and Steam sign-in through the browser when in-game sign-in fails. A warning now explains that Mac, Linux, CrossOver, Wine and Proton are unsupported.
Steam’s Australian store lists the game at A$12.55 until 29 October, according to the store page. We covered the launch and first hot fixes earlier this week.
