Chained Beasts is out, and we finally have an Australian price for it!

Sydney’s Featherweight Games opened the arena on Steam, and the launch post landed at 4:02am AEDT on Friday 16 October (we converted that from 17:02 UTC). Steam’s Australian store lists it at A$18.19, which is 35 per cent off A$27.99. The page says the offer ends on 29 October and gives no time of day (so don’t leave it to the last minute).

Here’s what the studio says is in the box: one to four players online with cross play, or couch co-op at home. There are 9 battles across 3 acts, 10 difficulty levels and over 70 afflictions.

The studio’s own site says “Featherweight is a Sydney based indie games studio,” and Steam lists it as both developer and publisher. Co-director Tim Kaldor writes that “Chained Beasts was the first ever game we set out to make as a team at Featherweight 12 years ago.” Steam’s reviews read 264 positive out of 315 as we write, which Steam rates Very Positive.

The studio’s roadmap post promises a December 1.1 update with a new arena and boss, a new weapon and new enemies, then a PVP mode in the first quarter of 2027.

So grab three mates, get chained together and give a Sydney studio a go before 29 October!
