Probably Stolen, a cyberpunk shopkeeping simulator from Questing Goose Studio and publisher tinyBuild, is out now on Steam — and on its first day it is already in Steam’s Australian top sellers.

The team’s launch post lays out what the 1.0 release adds over the demo. The headline item is nine starting scenarios: Apprentice, Water Merchant, Fence, Gunsmith, Chemist, Hydroponic Farmer, Aquafarmer, Rat Wrangler and Rock Bottom.

There are also four difficulty options, which the post says run “from beginner friendly to super hard mode”, and an ending in which you buy the store from the landlord and become its owner.

The rest of the list is broad. It completes the storylines for NPCs including Lou, Eleanor, Officer Lun and cadet Serpico, adds Steam Workshop support and a modding API, and brings vending machines that keep selling overnight after the shop closes. A full UI overhaul, new starting perks and 21 achievements are in as well, along with full localisation in seven languages.

Demo players can bring their progress across, though the developers would rather they did not: “Your saves will carry over, but we strongly recommend starting fresh to not miss out on newly added storylines.” The demo itself has been retired.

On the Australian Steam store, the game is A$22.49 at launch, down 10% from A$24.99. A Supporter Edition with the soundtrack is also listed in the post.

Free content updates are planned, according to the post — including the Junker, Organ Trader and Street Food Vendor starting scenarios, Expeditions that send recruits out on runs, and more of the main storyline.

It is the second small-team launch to crack the local chart this week, after CRACK. The post describes Probably Stolen as “developed by a small team”.
