Grand Theft Auto VI’s Australian Launch Time And Pre-load
Grand Theft Auto VI is set to unlock in Australia at midnight on Thursday 19 November, according to its listing on the Australian PlayStation Store.
The listing gives the release as 1:00pm UTC on 18 November. In Sydney that is 12:00am AEDT on 19 November, by our conversion.
Both digital editions on the store include a 7-Day Pre-load. The listing does not say what time the pre-load opens.
The Standard Edition is A$129.95 and the Ultimate Edition is A$159.95. Each comes with the Vintage Vice City Pack and one month of GTA+, and the Ultimate Edition adds the Ultimate Edition Upgrade.
The store’s terms say the GTA+ month applies to digital pre-orders or purchases made on PlayStation Store by 19 November, and must be claimed by 31 March 2027. After that month, the subscription renews at the regular monthly price until it is cancelled.
The listing describes the game as a single-player experience, set in Vice City and the state of Leonida, with Jason and Lucia caught up in a criminal conspiracy after an easy score goes wrong.
It shows an Australian R18+ rating, with the consumer advice Drug Use, High Impact Violence, Sex Scenes. The game is listed for PS5 and as PS5 Pro Enhanced.
Download size is drawing searches in Australia, with gta6 file size appearing in the Google Trends daily feed for Australia on 28 October. The PlayStation Store’s web listing does not give a download size.
Rockstar’s launch trailer is already out, and the earlier coverage has the details.
With a pre-load window of seven days on the store, the download can be done well before the game unlocks at midnight.
