Gran Turismo 7’s Spec IV Part 1 update goes live at 5pm AEDT on Thursday 15 October. It adds six cars and the Sportsland Sugo circuit, and Sony has shown a limited edition DualSense.
The PlayStation Blog post says all players get Part 1 for free. It starts at 11:00pm PDT on 14 October. We converted that to AEDT ourselves, and it lands at 5:00pm on Thursday 15 October. You need an internet connection to install it.
Here is what you get. The post lists six new cars and says you need credits, paid or earned through progression, to buy them. The Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo, the Mazda RX-Vision GT3 Evo ’26 and the Honda Step WGN Spada Premium Line ’23 are in Brand Central. The Ferrari F355 Berlinetta ’94 and the Citroën 2 CV 6 Charleston ’86 are in Used Cars. The Honda Civic Si Group A version ’87 is in Legend Cars.
The update also adds the Sportsland Sugo circuit, which we covered in our earlier Spec IV story. Per the post, there are new Sunday Cup events, six new World Circuit events, Scapes locations, Car Viewer features and an Experience mode. If you have not bought the game yet, the post says My First GT is a free download on the PlayStation Store.

Sony also showed a DualSense wireless controller made to mark 30 years of Gran Turismo. It has racing stripes and a carbon-fibre style front plate. The post gives a recommended retail price of US$84.99 and says actual retailer prices may vary. It gives no Australian price.
Pre-orders open on 22 October at 10:00am local time, from PlayStation where available and from participating retailers. The controller launches globally from 10 December. The post lists direct-from-PlayStation pre-orders for the US and a run of European countries. Australia is not on that list, so watch for Australian retailers.
The Gran Turismo site has the full Spec IV details. Read them before 5pm on Thursday so you know which car to buy first.
