Sydney’s Featherweight Games has put a time on the Chained Beasts launch, and for us it is 4am on Friday 16 October!
The studio’s Steam post says “the arena doors open October 15 at 10:00 AM PDT / 5:00 PM UTC.” We converted that to AEDT ourselves, and it lands at 4am on Friday morning (so our earlier story calling it a Thursday launch was a day early for Australia, and we have added a correction to it).
It is a day one launch on Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and Game Pass for Xbox and Windows PC, according to the studio. Steam lists Featherweight as both developer and publisher, and the studio’s own site calls it “a Sydney based indie games studio.”

The free Carthage demo is still on Steam for now. The studio says it will be taken offline when the game launches, so you have until Friday morning to grab three mates and play it.
The studio’s price post gives US$12.99, which is 35 per cent off the regular US$19.99 for two weeks after launch. Those are US dollars. The post’s regional price table is an image, and Steam lists no Australian price yet, so check the store page on launch day.
So play the demo on Thursday night, set an alarm for 4am (or stay up, we will not judge) and go get chained to your friends!
