Planet Zoo 2 is out now on Steam, and Frontier says it is “out in the wild”!

The studio announced the launch in a Steam post at 1:02am AEDT on Wednesday 14 October. In Australia the game costs A$70.50 and it is Windows only.

Frontier says there are over 130 animals this time, and flying birds and fully aquatic species are in for the very first time (so yes, your sea turtle dreams are finally allowed).

You also get Wildlife Reserves, where you release animals into customisable ecosystems, plus ready-to-place blueprints and a Workshop for sharing zoos. The studio says a photo competition with the WWF is coming soon, with a WWF UK animal adoption pack among the prizes.

Early Steam reviews are positive overall. When we checked, 659 of 928 were positive and Steam labelled the game Mostly Positive.

So pick your first species, clear a Saturday and go build a wilder world!
