Polyphony Digital first announced Spec IV in September as a two-part update, with Part 1 in October and Part 2 in December.

Its announcement lists more for October. Part 1 also includes a new Spec IV opening cinematic, a Vintage section for cars that can no longer be bought new, and an Experience mode built around brand-specific driving challenges.

A Car Viewer for admiring cars in the garage and a higher Collector Level cap complete the October list.

The announcement describes SUGO as Japan’s foremost technical circuit, known for its dramatic elevation changes. World Series drivers raced Super Formula cars there on Saturday, ahead of its release in the game.

Part 2 in December adds the Autumn Ring circuit and six more cars. It also brings a Family mode, Shuffle Race, an Online Drift Trial and the next evolution of Gran Turismo Sophy.

The trailer is listed for PS5, PS4 and PS VR2. Polyphony Digital says Spec IV celebrates the 30th anniversary of the original Gran Turismo, which falls next year.
