EA Sports FC 27‘s first title update is a fixes-and-menus patch — not a gameplay one. EA’s Title Update v1.1 Pitch Notes, posted on Steam ahead of the update’s 27 October release, say it “contains no gameplay balance or tuning changes.”

The post points to separate v1.1 Patch Notes, also due on 27 October, for the full list. What it does spell out is mostly Career mode and Ultimate Team.

In Career, EA says it has “overhauled the Team Management layout across multiple modes for cleaner navigation and better readability.” New settings let players toggle or adjust how often Unexpected Events and Press Conferences come up, in new and existing saves.

Player Career gets two new Rivalry objective types — Consistency Rivalries and Match Limit Rivalries. Manager Career gets clearer reasons when a club or player rejects an offer, and wages tuned “to account for performance bonuses”. Contracts are tuned so veteran players “no longer disproportionately demand crucial squad roles.”

Scout capacity now depends on Experience rather than Judgement. EA adds that it is still testing a fix for players asking for transfers over playtime even when their playtime is being met.

In Ultimate Team, the reveal animation for most higher OVR items is shorter, a change EA credits to feedback from the Closed Beta. Filter and sort settings in Streamlined SBCs are now remembered between Challenges until the game is closed. Referee kits have also been recoloured so they no longer clash with either team.

The gameplay fixes include one for players getting permanently stuck in the tutorial, and one for 3v3 Kickabouts where a long pass could “occasionally” end up in a player’s own goal. The Grounds and Clubs get ten listed fixes — among them a Clubs bracket that showed a team as the winner straight after the semi-final.

Balance changes are coming later. EA says it will publish Gameplay Developer Notes “later this week” covering possible adjustments for the next Title Update, and that new features for The Grounds and Clubs are on the way. We covered The Grounds when the game landed on Switch 2.

On PC, Steam’s Australian store lists the game at A$109.95.
