E-District at night is gone from Apex Legends for now.
The 6 November update, posted to the game’s Steam page at 5:48am AEDT on Saturday by our conversion, makes a single map change.
It removes E-District (night) from all map rotations and rotates in E-District (day) in its place.

The reason given is visibility, and the developer note attached to the change sets out what is being worked on.
The note is worth reading in full:
“We are working on a handful of high impact changes that improve visibility on E-District night. We still want to deliver on the fantasy and atmosphere of a neon-soaked city, but feel we can do so in a way that doesn’t compromise visibility. Expect reduced fog density, increased fog distance and adjusted color balance when E-District night comes back later this split.”
A second line sets the timing:
“We anticipate reimplementing an improved E-District (night) map near the end of the month. Thank you for your continued feedback.”
No date is given beyond that.

It is the second quick change in three days. The 4 November update cut Crypto’s drone recall time from 6 seconds to 0.7 seconds, after his rework.
That note was just as plain:
“We believe some aspects or finer details of this update missed the marked, especially for Crypto mains. This change is one we’re able to make quickly, while we have more changes planned that require a full client update and should be released soon.”
The same update fixed a crash when using an ordnance while using Crypto’s drone, and stopped an exploit that allowed excessive Evac Towers.
Both updates land as the Godzilla Event approaches on 10 November.
