Godzilla is coming to Apex Legends, and you cannot beat it, so your only job is to survive it.
EA’s event post says the Apex Legends | Godzilla Event runs from 10 November to 1 December, going live on Tuesday 10 November, but it gives no start hour, so check the game that day.
The event ties in with the film Godzilla Minus Zero, which EA’s post says opens in North American cinemas on 6 November.
Here is what changes on the map: Godzilla has attacked Storm Point, and the post says damaged buildings, burnt trees and fallen signs are “littered across the map” while Godzilla itself looms above.
The big play is the Care Package. Get into a blast zone before Godzilla’s Heat Ray strikes, find the package, and you claim a custom Devotion whose heat ray, EA says, “tracks enemies on hit”. That makes those blast zones the hot drops, so expect company when you land.
Then there is the Godzilla Event Pass. The free track includes the Jet Jaguar Epic skin for Octane, Event Packs, crafting metals, badges and XP, while the Premium Track costs 950 AC and adds the Iconic Ghidorah 1991 skin for Catalyst, a Legendary Gravity Beam Prowler skin, an Epic P2020 skin and two Epic Apex Packs.
There are ten Godzilla Legend skins in all, from Bloodhound’s Godzilla 2026 to Valkyrie’s Mothra 2003. Nine Godzilla-themed weapon skins cover the Devotion, Hemlock, Rampage, CAR, Havoc, Longbow, Wingman, Prowler and Sentinel. A new universal melee, the Dorsal Dagger, can drop from Godzilla Event Packs.
You can also earn by watching, because Twitch Drops run with “select creators” from 10 to 17 November. EA lists 30 minutes for the Chibi Charmzilla weapon charm and 60 minutes for the Mothra’s Milestones tracker set. Link your EA account to Twitch first, or the time will not count.
