The Opening of 007 First Light Is Now Free To Play
IO Interactive has released a Free Starter Pack for 007 First Light, and a new trailer to announce it.
The video, 007 First Light – Free Starter Pack Trailer, was posted to IO Interactive’s official YouTube channel overnight, early on 6 November Australian time.
IO Interactive’s Steam announcement, Your First Assignment Starts Here, describes what the pack covers.
According to the post, players “experience the introduction to 007 First Light where you will play as young Naval air crewman, James Bond, as he attempts to survive a military operation gone wrong.”
The post calls it “this chilling first chapter, the official first step in your journey to Earn The Number.” It does not say whether progress carries over to the full game.
The Steam store lists the Free Starter Pack as a separate download beside the full game.
The full game is on sale at the same time. On the Australian Steam store, the Deluxe Edition is A$67.17, down 40% from A$111.95, and the standard edition is listed at A$99.95. The store page does not give an end date for the discount.
According to the store page, the Deluxe Edition adds four outfits, four gadget skins and a weapon skin.
007 First Light was released on 26 May 2026, according to its Steam listing.
