AION 2’s next scheduled maintenance starts at 5:30pm AEDT on Wednesday 14 October, according to NC’s official notice.
The notice gives the time as 23h30 PDT on 13 October, and 08h30 CEST on 14 October, and we converted it to Sydney time ourselves. It says the work will last 3 hours 30 minutes, which would end it at 9pm AEDT, and it lists the affected service as game servers.
The notice opens with a plain statement of what happens to the login. “We will be performing our scheduled game server maintenance. During the maintenance, the game login will be temporarily unavailable.”
Players are warned about the moment it begins, and about the chance that the schedule moves. “Once maintenance begins, you will be disconnected from the game. The maintenance schedule and details are subject to change at any time. Any changes will be announced as an update via this notice.”
The notice also says that the details of the update will be shared at a later time, and it does not say what the update contains.
Server maintenance is not new to the game, and we reported on server transfers opening after an earlier maintenance on Sunday 11 October. The notice does not say whether Oceania servers are treated differently from any others.
