The Oceania group stage of the Asia Pacific League is done, and four teams are going to Melbourne. They will play for a $40,000 prize pool and a place at the Osaka Major.
The regular season of Stage 2 is over. After seven rounds of best-of-one matches, Ubisoft’s standings have ENTERPRISE Esports on top, level with Chiefs Esports Club on 16 points.
ENTERPRISE finished first with four wins in regulation and two in overtime. Chiefs had the most regulation wins of anyone, with five, and lost only once in regulation time. The top two also played each other on 15 September, and ENTERPRISE won that one 7–1.
7VEN took third on 14 points. Man LFO were fourth on 13 after winning their last four matches, including an 8–6 result over Chiefs on 21 September.
Circular Spheres finished fifth on 12 points and miss out by a single point. Team Anios and Shaiikademy tied on 6, and Arcade finished last without a win.
The top four now play the Stage Finals at PAX Aus, on the Ubisoft Community & Esports Stage at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. PAX says the teams are playing for a $40,000 prize pool and “a coveted place at the Osaka Major.”
The finals bracket is double elimination, and the matchups are not set yet. Here is when to be in the hall, in AEDT, since daylight saving starts on 4 October. In Brisbane it’s an hour earlier.
On Friday 9 October, the two upper semi-finals are at 4pm and 7pm. On Saturday 10 October, the upper final is at 4pm and the lower semi-final at 7pm. On Sunday 11 October, the lower final is at noon and the grand final at 3pm.
