PAX Aus is back at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre from 9 to 11 October, and the expo floor line-up is a big one this year!
Activision is bringing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 multiplayer for eligible visitors to play, ahead of its 23 October launch (it’s MA 15+). SEGA has four playable games: Total War: WARHAMMER 40,000, Alien: Isolation 2, Stranger Than Heaven and Persona 4 Revival. Square Enix has Final Fantasy XIV playable on Switch 2, plus a Final Fantasy VII Revelation showcase before its 8 April 2027 release.
We reckon the indie side is where you’ll find the surprises, with over 90 games across the Aus Indie Showcase, PAX Rising and New Zealand’s CODE.
Fancy a shot at glory? Red Bull is running an EA SPORTS FC 27 wildcard tournament for amateur players on the Saturday and Sunday, and the two winners go straight to the national final in Sydney on 5 December. Ubisoft’s stage also hosts the Rainbow Six Siege APL Oceania Stage Finals, with a $40,000 prize pool on the line.
Doors open at 10am each day. The show runs until 11:30pm on Friday and Saturday (the expo hall shuts at 6pm) and until 6pm on Sunday. If your badge isn’t being posted to you, pick-up at the MCEC opens on Wednesday 7 October, and PAX says early pick-up is the way to save time.
