Ubisoft’s bracket has moved every Oceania Stage Finals match earlier. If you are planning your PAX Aus weekend around Rainbow Six, here are the new times.
The Stage Finals bracket for the Asia Pacific League’s Oceania stage now opens at 3:30pm AEDT on Friday 9 October. That is half an hour earlier than the times we first reported on 29 September.
Four teams are in: ENTERPRISE Esports, Chiefs Esports Club, 7VEN and Man LFO. Every match is a best of three. The semi-final matchups still read as blank on Ubisoft’s page, so check back before Friday.
Here is the full run, all on the Ubisoft Community & Esports Stage at PAX Aus. On Friday the two upper semi-finals start at 3:30pm and 6:30pm. On Saturday the upper final is at 3:30pm and the lower semi-final at 6:30pm.
Sunday moves the most. The lower final is now at 11am and the grand final at 2pm, a full hour earlier than first listed. In Brisbane, take an hour off every time, and in Perth take three.
The stakes have not changed. PAX says the four teams are playing for a $40,000 prize pool and “a coveted place at the Osaka Major.” Ubisoft lists the Osaka Major as its own competition.
If you are making a day of it, the same stage also has a Rainbow Six Siege 1v1 against Martin Copping. PAX describes him as “the voice talent behind the Australian Operator Mozzie”. The Ubisoft Cosplay Runway and an Assassin’s Creed Sea Shanty Singalong are on that stage too.
PAX Aus runs from Friday 9 to Sunday 11 October at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. Our Pikmin Bloom guide has the dates and the venue if you are still planning the trip.
Set your reminders for 2pm Sunday. That is when one Oceania team books its place in Osaka.
