Season 6 Launch Trailer Released For Rematch
A launch trailer for Season 6 of Rematch is embedded in Sloclap’s Steam post, which says the season is live. The post went up at 14:00 UTC on 23 October, which is 1am AEDT on 24 October by our conversion.
The video is titled Rematch Season 6 | Launch Trailer and is on Sloclap’s own YouTube channel. We have not watched it and could not read its description, so we do not describe it.
The post opens with “A whole new way to progress is here!” Players level up Contracts, unlock Badges that reflect their playstyle and earn Blocks along the way.
Players with hours already in the game get Legacy Rewards that recognise their progress so far. The post also lists new Vanguard and Glitch cosmetics.
The key art in the post carries four panels, titled Choose Your Team, Show Who You Are, Take The Game To Higher Grounds and Unlock Fresh Rewards. The post does not explain them beyond the text above.
A new arena, Clouds Sunset, comes with the season. The post says there is more to come, with Netcode 2.0 to roll out progressively through the season and bring improvements “designed to reduce desyncs and rollbacks”.
Sloclap links four blog posts from the announcement, including the S6.0 patch notes, which carry the version number 1.206.000, and dev blogs on Season 6, Player Contracts and Netcode 2.0.
Steam’s Australian store page listed Rematch, from developer Sloclap and publishers Sloclap and Kepler Interactive, at A$29.20 on 24 October, which is 60% off A$73.00. We covered the game’s Blue Lock season in an earlier feature.
The post does not say when Netcode 2.0 arrives beyond “throughout the season”.
