Spooky season just got a big raid! Pokémon GO has set the Chandelure Super Mega Raid Day for Saturday 31 October, and it runs on your local time, so you get 2pm to 5pm wherever you are in Australia!
Mega Chandelure makes its Pokémon GO debut in Super Mega Raids, and you can push its Mega Level all the way to Super Max (yes, that is a mouthful). While Mega Evolved, Chandelure learns an extra Charged Attack, Ominous Wind+, which the post lists at 50 power in Trainer Battles and 145 in Gyms and Raids.
There is a Global Challenge too, where trainers around the world work through raid tiers together. We make it 11am Saturday to 2pm Sunday AEDT (the post gives 5pm PDT on Friday 30 October to 8pm PDT on Saturday 31 October), and during that window the Remote Raid limit goes up to 20. The post also lists up to six free Raid Passes from Gym Photo Discs among the bonuses!
Timed Research during the event earns you a Premium Battle Pass and a Tyranitar encounter. An optional event ticket is US$4.99, or the equivalent in your local currency, and the post gives no Australian price. Pokémon GO was 13th on Apple’s Australian top-grossing games chart when we read it on 24 October.
