Cinematic Launch Trailer Released For Gray Zone Warfare Update 0.5
A cinematic launch trailer for Rogue Ops, the fourth major update for Gray Zone Warfare, is embedded in MADFINGER Games’ Steam post. The developer’s post went up at 16:08 UTC on 22 October, which is 3:08am AEDT on 23 October by our conversion, and says the update is now live.
The video is titled Gray Zone Warfare – Official Update 0.5 Cinematic Launch Trailer and is on IGN’s YouTube channel, embedded in MADFINGER’s own post. We have not watched it and could not read its description, so we do not describe it.
The post says Update 0.5 sets players on the path to Ground Zero. It introduces a new loop built around crafting and building a Hideout, along with new contraband operations.
The key features list includes Hideout crafting, smuggling, hunting, multiple playable characters, new major locations, seven new weapons and new anti-cheat measures. The changelog adds that players can now create up to four characters across factions and game modes.
The update brings a soft wipe. Players keep their completed tasks, rank, unlocked apparel, vendor levels and statistics, while their locker and money are wiped.
When first entering Update 0.5, players must choose which mode their existing progress transfers to. The post says that action is irreversible, and that the faction stays the same.
Steam’s Australian store page listed Gray Zone Warfare at A$38.93 on 23 October, which is 35% off A$59.90. MADFINGER’s editions post says the discount runs until 5 November.
