Square Enix Lists Two Problems It Is Investigating At Launch
Final Fantasy Resonance is out on Steam, and Square Enix has published two known issues alongside it.
The publisher’s launch post went up at 17:00 UTC on 22 October, which is 4am AEDT on 23 October by our conversion. Its title says the game is out now.
The post calls the game “the first HD-2D title in the series”. It describes a story “centered around the crystals”, in a world where pixel art and 3D graphics come together.

A section headed Notes for Players names what the studio is looking into. The minimap and help display “may reappear at certain times after being hidden”. Audio noise “may occasionally occur on certain CPU configurations”.
The post gives no date for a fix to either issue. It asks anyone who meets other problems to contact Square Enix Support.
It also sets out the Digital Deluxe Edition, which is the base game with the Magitek & Grimoire Deluxe Pack.
The pack has a Magitek Armor Key, which changes a chocobo’s appearance into magitek armor. It has an Archwitch’s Grimoire, which unlocks a certain character’s Fel Meteor limit burst. The remaining items are a Mastery Ring, five Tents, five Mist Potions, five Mist Ethers, five Phoenix Downs and three Remedies.
The Steam store page lists the game at A$74.95 in Australia, with Windows as its only platform. It gives 22 October 2026 as the release date, Square Enix as publisher, and Square Enix with LANCARSE Ltd. as developers.
When we read Steam’s Australian top sellers list on 24 October, the game was on it. We have not played it, and this is a launch report, not a review.
Our earlier unlock-time report has the pre-launch details. Until Square Enix says more, both issues stay listed as under investigation.
