Surrounded has left Early Access, and its developer says Chapter 1 is now complete.
The announcement was published at 12:42pm AEDT on Sunday 18 October under the title SURROUNDED | FULL RELEASE. Steam lists Nightmare Studios as both developer and publisher.
Steam describes the game as “A 6-player open world horror game.” Its Australian store page lists it at A$12.95 for Windows, with no discount shown.
The post says the update focuses on Chapter 1. It describes the work in the developer’s own words.

“Chapter 1 has received a ton of improvements, balancing, additional content, and general polishing. I’ve spent a lot of time going back through the entire experience, improving the pacing, making objectives clearer, adding tutorial information where it was needed, and introducing new gameplay elements like interactive minigames for certain tasks.”
The post lists smaller changes too. Creatures now have proper IK, which the post says lets their feet adapt naturally to the terrain. There are new visual effects, including dripping blood and ground-shaking events.
Players can now barricade doors, and they can physically hold doors shut to stop creatures forcing their way in.

The developer says leaving Early Access does not end work on the game. The post says “Chapter 2 is still in development and will be released as a completely free content update!” It gives no date.
When we checked on 18 October, Steam showed 571 user reviews, with 251 positive and 320 negative, and labelled them Mixed. That is a single store’s count and it will change.
Neither the post nor the store page says where the studio is based.
