Mega Crit has put a date on Slay the Spire 2‘s next big update — a beta patch currently planned for 12 November — in its October Neowsletter, posted to Steam at lunchtime today in Sydney.
The studio says the newsletter came later than usual because it wanted to offer “some more solid info on when you can expect to see the next update.” The new content will be beta-exclusive at first, while the default branch is brought up to date with everything on the current beta, v0.111.0.

What arrives on 12 November is being kept quiet. “The new content will have more of an impact the less we say about it,” the post says. The team has been working on large features from its Early Access roadmap since August, aside from a one-week studio break.
The Q&A gives a few hints. Asked about the experimental game modes mentioned in August, Casey answers that “The new game modes will work for both singleplayer and multiplayer” — and that the rest will have to wait until 12 November.
On co-op, Casey says the reception has been really positive and the studio wants to add more longevity to it. As for additional Acts, “that’s certainly in the pipes (within the Spire).”

Custom Runs will likely get a pass near the v1.0 launch, though controller support and minimum text size requirements limit what can be added, so desktop players and mods may get the most flexibility. Gold trading in co-op is not coming, as pooling resources can let one player snowball. Collaborations with other games got a one-word answer from Anthony: “no”.
Part of the team is also heading to WePlay 2026 in Shanghai, with a Slay the Spire 2 booth, demos, merch, and a Q&A and fan signing with Casey on 21 and 22 November.
The game is A$36.99 on the Australian Steam store and was 14th on Steam’s most-played chart this afternoon. With the patch two weeks out, the newsletter gives players a date to plan around — if not yet a list of what is coming.
