Aspyr’s Remaster Of The Co-Op Action-Adventure Opens For Pre-Order
Shrek 2 Remastered is up for pre-order on Xbox Series X|S. Xbox Wire’s showcase recap says it “is now available for pre-order on XBOX Series X|S” and arrives on 10 November.
The Australian Xbox Store page lists the price as AU$44.95. When we looked on Wednesday 21 October, it also showed a sale price of AU$40.45, with the tag “ends in 20 days”.
Xbox Wire says pre-orders get up to 20 per cent off with Xbox Game Pass, or 10 per cent for non-members, through 9 November.

Aspyr Media is listed as both publisher and developer. The store page describes a game in which you travel through “the fairytale kingdom of Far Far Away from Shrek’s swamp to Fiona’s castle”. It says you can play solo or with up to three friends in co-op.
The page lists local co-op and online co-op for two to four players, plus single player. Playing online on console needs a Game Pass Core or Ultimate subscription, sold separately.
The remaster rebuilds the game with better textures, an enhanced interface, 4K resolution and cutscenes. It adds a Photo Mode and a Cheat Mode.

The Australian page shows a General rating, with very mild violence and very mild crude humour listed.
Xbox Series X|S is the only platform either source names.
Google Trends Australia’s daily feed listed “shrek game” when we read it on 21 October, with the remaster’s announcement as the related news.
