Kintarō, a new hero for Ravenswatch, is out, and Passtech Games’ free update 1.06 discarded any run that was in progress.
Passtech Games posted the release in a Steam announcement at 7:04pm AEDT on Monday 12 October. It says the hero DLC is available on Steam, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch.
On Steam in Australia the DLC costs A$11.79. The developer’s post gives its own price in other currencies, which we have not converted.
The studio’s patch notes open with a warning about the update.
“Due to major content changes, any existing run in progress has been discarded. Your overall progress has not been affected. Finish your run before updating the game if you don’t want to lose it”
The warning matters to anyone who has not yet updated, since the studio says the discard follows from the update itself.
The notes list what the DLC contains: two Ultimate abilities, 26 unlockable Talents, seven fully voiced pages of Memoirs and four unlockable outfits.
It also lists three premium outfits and three new achievements, which are Steam only.
The free update is for every player. The notes say “+50 Talents have been tweaked, buffed, or replaced”, with one example being “Murderous Intent: Combo points granted increased from 2 to 3”.
The multiplayer section adds custom lobbies.
“Players can now choose the number of players in a matchmaking game. A slider has been added to select 2, 3, or 4 players. You will only matchmake with players who selected those settings as well”
A new option in the Settings menu displays teammates’ pings. The notes word it as “An option has been added to the Settings menu to display teammates’ pings”.
The full notes run hero by hero, with fixes for network, HUD and crash issues listed after the changes.
