Ace Attorney: Dual Destinies Is Getting A Virtual Reality Version
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies is coming to virtual reality. AMATA, which is publishing the game under licence from Capcom, revealed it today with an announcement trailer.
The VR version is due in 2027. AMATA has not announced a price, and its official site lists the price as “To be announced”.
It is headed to the Meta Horizon Store only. The site lists support for Meta Quest 3, Quest 3S, Quest Pro, Quest 2 and the newly announced Meta VR Glasses.
Dual Destinies was the fifth mainline game in the series. Players take turns as Phoenix Wright, Apollo Justice and Athena Cykes, working to end what the game calls the “Dark Age of the Law”.
The story still opens in the middle of a badly damaged courtroom. What changes is how the cases are played.

According to the feature list AMATA published, the game is fully playable with controllers. Players who want more immersion can shout “OBJECTION!” by voice and present evidence with hand-tracked gestures.
Crime scenes are also rebuilt in 3D. The investigation sections let players walk around a scene and examine evidence from every angle with hand tracking and motion controls.
The official site lists the game as single player, rated IARC 12+. It will support English, Japanese, French, German, Korean, Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese.

AMATA’s site frames the release as part of a long line. The first Ace Attorney game came out in October 2001 on the Game Boy Advance, and the site calls it the world’s first “Courtroom Battle” game.
Anyone wanting to keep track can wishlist it now on the Meta Horizon Store. A release date within 2027 has not been given.
