over the hill, the co-op off-roading game that Steam calls the newest installation from the creator of art of rally, is out on Steam, and Steam in Australia lists it at A$34.39 for launch.

Funselektor announced the release in a Steam post at 2:58am AEDT on Thursday 15 October. The studio says “over the hill is finally launching on Steam” and that the past two years have been a rollercoaster for a game that started as a small project.

The Australian store page shows A$42.99 as the regular price. The studio offers a “special 20% discount on the base game for the next 14 days” — which is where the A$34.39 comes from. The studio’s own prices are US$24.99, €24.99 and £22.49, and it says regional pricing applies elsewhere.

The post says the game supports Windows and the Steam Deck, and can also be played through GeForce Now. The Steam page says you can take the trails solo or with up to three friends.

Funselektor lists a separate soundtrack at US$9.99, and a Supporter Edition DLC at US$9.99 with a name tag, cosmetics, a camping site, printable maps and wallpapers. A Supporter Pack bundle of the game, soundtrack and DLC is US$37.99. The post also lists bundles with other games for a further 10 per cent off.

Steam lists Funselektor Labs as both developer and publisher, so the game is self-published. The studio’s base is not stated in the sources we read, so we have not called it an Australian studio.

Early user reviews are strong. When we checked on Thursday 15 October, 455 of 493 reviews were positive and Steam labelled the game Very Positive. That is a small sample from launch day.

The studio signs off by telling players to “get a little lost”.
