New Avengers: Endgame Mode And Store Items Arrive In The 22 October Update
The developer’s Steam post says the Marvel Rivals patch for 22 October drops at 09:00 UTC, which is 8pm AEDT by our conversion. The patch notes add a new mode, Path to Doomsday, and say there is no server downtime.
The mode is built around Avengers: Endgame. In the post’s words, Thanos from the past has breached the timeline and is leading his forces against the heroes.
Players who take part can earn the Captain America: The Winter Soldier costume, and other rewards, for free. The event runs from 09:00 UTC on 22 October to 09:00 UTC on 26 November, which is 8pm AEDT on both dates.
The mode officially starts on 24 October in UTC and runs for four consecutive weeks. The post lists two sessions for that first day, both in UTC.
Session 1 runs from 01:00 to 03:00 on 24 October, which is 12pm to 2pm AEDT on Saturday 24 October. Session 2 runs from 18:00 to 20:00, which is 5am to 7am AEDT on Sunday 25 October.
The post says the mode will be open for limited times each later week, based on that schedule. It does not list the later session times.
In the store, the Black Cat – Fatal Weaver and Elsa Bloodstone – Gothic Huntress bundles are listed from 02:00 UTC on 23 October to 02:00 UTC on 20 November. That is 1pm AEDT on both dates.
Four more items are listed from 02:00 UTC on 23 October with no end date given: the Jeff the Land Shark – Sharknos bundle, the Black Cat – Fatal Weaver emoji bundle, and the Shawarma and The Snap emote combo bundles. The post gives no prices.
In Times Square, an Avengers: Endgame screening unlocks a Gallery Card if you watch it for two minutes straight. A group photo with the NPCs outside the Avengers’ Gift Shop earns 100 Units.
The fixes include Black Cat’s portal use on walls, and Black Widow’s directional shift when using Widow’s Bite Slam. The post also lists costume clipping fixes. Marvel Rivals ranked 26th on Steam’s most-played chart when we read it on 23 October.
