Warriors of Light, the next Final Fantasy XIV expansion has a date, and you can lock it in right now! Square Enix has opened pre-orders for Final Fantasy XIV: Evercold, which launches on Tuesday 23 February 2027.

Pre-orders also get you early access, and the best bit for us down here is the time: Square Enix lists it for Friday 19 February 2027 at 20:00 AEDT (yes, they did the time zone for us this time), so if you’re in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra or Hobart, that’s 8pm on a Friday night.

On Steam in Australia the Standard Edition is A$66.99 and the Collector’s Edition is A$94.99. Pre-order and you get a new minion plus an accessory that bumps the EXP you earn, straight away. The digital Collector’s Edition adds the Valhallar Odin mount, the Entreat Crystal emote and the Crystal Skyltborg, which only bastions can equip.

Bastion is one of two new jobs, a tank, and it’s joined by the Zephyr, a physical ranged DPS. The level cap goes from 100 to 110, and you’ll be heading into the icebound realm of the Fourth, with new cities called Fargarth and Hjartadunur and a new alliance raid series, EVANGELION – Ghosts of Desire (some of the list arrives in later patches, Square Enix says).

Just remember Evercold is an expansion pack, so you’ll still need the Starter Edition or the Complete Edition, plus an active subscription, to play it.

Get that pre-order in, keep Friday night 19 February free, and we’ll see you in the Icebound Realm!
