Keen Games has taken Enshrouded to 1.0 with a new northern region, a higher level cap and a logic tool for building your own challenges. Hotfix 1.0.0.1 is already out, and it comes with two workarounds you should read first.

Enshrouded is live at 1.0. Keen Games’ launch-day post went up at 2:06am AEDT on Friday 16 October and says, “Enshrouded is live!”

Steam’s Australian store page lists it at A$53.09 on an introductory offer, which is 10 per cent off A$58.99. The offer ends on 29 October and the page gives no time of day. Steam lists it for Windows.

The changelog highlights put the new area, Cinder’s Cradle, in the north, past the now open gates beyond the Veilwater Basin. Two new Hollow Halls open too, one in the Albaneve Summits and one in the Veilwater Basin.

Your level cap rises. The post says “The new maximum level for the player is 50; gear can now be upgraded to a maximum level of 55.” The Flame Altar maximum goes up to 15 once you unlock the next Flame Level.

Mages get nine new types of spells. A new faction brings 14 new enemy types, and the post counts 37 new enemy faces in all.

You can now build your own gameplay with Sparkworks, a new logic system for your worlds. Lore notes and the main crafting survivors are voiced in English, German and Mandarin Chinese. The post also lists a new brick renderer for distant terrain and HDR support.

Now the hotfix. It went up at 6:18am AEDT and fixes random crashes and an indoor brightness issue. The Fire Wisp scroll is fixed at level 27.

Two things to do. Keen Games is watching a reverb problem, and until it is fixed “it is recommended to keep the master volume slider at 100% and regulate the volume in the Windows sound settings instead, if needed.”

If the edit button for your world does nothing, the studio says to subscribe to anything in adventure sharing, then try editing again. It calls that a temporary workaround.

Keen Games also posted an update highlights video for anyone who wants to see the changes before they play.
