CD Projekt Red Schedules an Edgerunners Edition of REDstreams
CD Projekt Red will hold a special Edgerunners edition of its REDstreams broadcast to look back at Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2, a week after the series reached Netflix.
The studio announced the stream in a Steam post on the Cyberpunk 2077 page. It opens with a line for anyone who has already reached the end: “Finished watching Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2? Good. We need to talk.”
The broadcast is set for Tuesday, 27 October, at 5pm CET. In Sydney that is 3am on Wednesday, 28 October, by our conversion.
The post names Bartosz Sztybor and Saya Elder as the guests. It says the stream will be live on Twitch, YouTube and Steam.
The series itself premiered on 20 October. CD Projekt Red set that date in an August press release, which describes a 10-episode standalone story made with animation studio TRIGGER.
That release calls it “a raw, human story of revenge and redemption”, with a new cast of characters fighting their own battles across Night City.
The game has been busy alongside the show. Cyberpunk 2077 received its Edgerunners 2 Update, version 2.5, on 22 October, which added dual wielding among other changes.
The game has climbed the charts as well. On Steam’s most-played chart, read on the morning of 27 October, Cyberpunk 2077 sat seventh, up from 37th the week before.
The REDstreams post does not say how long the broadcast will run, or whether a replay will stay up afterwards. Anyone in Australia planning to watch live will need an early start.
