Sydney’s Featherweight Games is about to chain you to your best mates, because Chained Beasts launches this Thursday, 15 October!
It is a 1-4 player co-op gladiator roguelike, and the Steam page invites you to fight chaotic battles chained to your friends. Steam lists Windows and Mac, and the studio’s official links page says PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and Game Pass are all getting it on 15 October.
Featherweight calls itself “a Sydney based indie games studio” on its own site (so that is their word, we are just very happy to pass it on). Steam lists the studio as both developer and publisher.

There is a demo on Steam right now, so you can try it before launch. Steam has not listed a price yet, and the studio has not given an Australian unlock time, so keep an eye on the store page.
The studio says there are over 70 afflictions to suffer through, and that 200k players have wishlisted. Those are the studio’s figures, not ours.
After launch, its roadmap post promises a 1.1 update in December with a new arena and boss, a new weapon and new enemies. The studio says it would like to add a PVP mode in Q1 2027.
So grab three mates, get the demo going tonight, and be ready to hit the big green button on Thursday!
