Apex Legends’ anti-cheat team says it has fixed multiple weapon exploits, including one that let a player fire a whole magazine in a single shot.
The fixes are in a Competitive Integrity Update posted to Steam on the morning of Saturday 10 October, Australian time.
It follows the team’s report on the first week of EA Javelin Anticheat, which we covered on Saturday.

The post names two exploits. One emptied a full magazine with a single shot. The other let the Sentinel and the C.A.R. SMG fire and reload faster than they should.
The team says:
“We’ve deployed fixes for multiple high-profile weapon exploits in Apex Legends this week. You may have seen the videos circulating in community spaces earlier this week.”
“These fixes address an exploit that allowed an entire magazine to be fired in a single shot, alongside another that enabled rapid firing and reloading with the Sentinel and C.A.R. SMG beyond their intended functionality.”
The post puts the fixes inside a wider effort:
“Alongside addressing exploits, we continue to develop and deploy new anti-cheat detections, strengthen existing systems, and take action against players who undermine fair play.”
It doesn’t say when during the week the fixes went live, and it gives no ban numbers or patch number.
On 8 October the same team said it was “actively investigating videos circulating featuring some pretty egregious cheating activity”. The new post doesn’t say whether those are the videos it means.
It asks nothing of players. The fixes are already deployed.
