Melbourne Trainers, this one is for you! The Pokémon GO team has listed its Asia-Pacific Community meetups for Pokémon GO Wild Area: Global, and Australia’s stop is Westfield Fountain Gate on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 November, from 10am to 5pm local time.
It is the only Australian venue among the twelve on the Asia-Pacific list (sorry Sydney, you didn’t make the cut this time), and the team says the meetups are open to the public. Expect a pop-up with giveaways while supplies last, photo spots, activities run by your local Community Ambassadors, and the chance to meet and battle other Trainers! Check in and you will get Timed Research, with rewards like a Pokémon encounter and items.
If you have grabbed a global event ticket from the Pokémon GO Web Store, your branched Special Research opens at 10am local time on the Saturday, and that is where you pick a path to the Steel Scholar or Dragon Defender medal. Those bonuses run until 6pm local time on Sunday 15 November.
Grab your mates, charge those power banks, and we’ll see you at Fountain Gate!
