Genshin Impact goes down for its Version 7.2 update on Wednesday morning. HoYoverse has already posted the first phase of wishes, so you know what you are saving for before the servers come back.
HoYoverse has posted the Version 7.2 Event Wishes Notice for Phase I. It lines up two character wishes and a weapon wish, all opening after the update, which HoYoverse calls “Hour of Ruin.”
Update maintenance starts at 2026/11/04 06:00 (UTC+8), according to the maintenance preview. That is 9am AEDT on Wednesday 4 November, our conversion. HoYoverse estimates it will take five hours, so plan on early afternoon our time.
You get 300 Primogems in compensation, 60 for each hour the servers are down. You need to be Adventure Rank 5 or above by the start of maintenance, and you have to claim them before Version 7.2 ends. Pre-installation is open now, at about 8 GB on PC and 3 GB on mobile.
“Myriad Patterns Unfold” is the first character wish. Its featured 5-star is the event-exclusive “Rules Set at Naught” Mitya (Electro). “Chanson of Many Waters” is the second, featuring the event-exclusive “Endless Solo of Solitude” Furina (Hydro).
Both share the same boosted 4-stars. They are “Fort Fulguration” Valeriy (Electro), “Lens of Verity” Charlotte (Cryo) and “Thorny Benevolence” Rosaria (Cryo). The notice says Valeriy joins the standard wish in the next version.
Your pity carries across both. The notice says the guarantee count for “Character Event Wish” and “Character Event Wish-2” is shared, and separate from your other wishes. A Test Run trial runs alongside, so you can try the featured characters first.
The weapon wish, “Epitome Invocation”, features Starsealed Edict (Catalyst) and Splendor of Tranquil Waters (Sword). Epitomized Path is there to chart your course to one of them. The boosted 4-stars are The Dockhand’s Assistant, Prospector’s Drill, Dawning Frost, Rainslasher and Rust.
All three wishes end at 2026/11/24 17:59. The notice gives no time zone for that, so we have not converted it. It gives no drop percentages either, and points you to the Details screen in game.
The full update notes come at 2026/11/04 07:00 (UTC+8), or 10am AEDT. We covered the 7.2 events preview last month, and the HoYoLAB news feed is where the next wish notices will land.
