Nintendo Shows Off The Ocarina Ahead Of Launch

Nintendo has released a new trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on Nintendo Switch 2, titled The Ocarina Is the Key.

It went up on Nintendo of America’s YouTube channel at 4am AEDT on Saturday 31 October, by our conversion.

The video’s description says the game launches on 5 November 2026, exclusively on Nintendo Switch 2, and that pre-orders are available now.

That date comes from Nintendo of America. The description does not give an Australian release date or price, so neither is given here.

The pitch in the description is short. It says “The ocarina is the key to your adventure”, and that its songs can change Hyrule and guide the player toward a new destiny.

The ocarina is used alongside a variety of other items, according to Nintendo, to journey across time and restore balance to the kingdom.

Nintendo describes the game as “this classic tale, built from the ground up for Nintendo Switch 2”.

The trailer was not the only Switch 2 video on the channel that day. Three hours earlier, Nintendo of America posted the Fortnite – Treasure Hunters Trailer, which says the season comes to Nintendo Switch 2 on 1 November.

Like the Fortnite video, the Ocarina of Time trailer points viewers to Nintendo.com for more information. Neither description gives a price.

Nintendo of America’s store page is linked from the video for pre-orders. With launch on 5 November, the game is now less than a week away.
