The Next Elder Scrolls Game Now Has a Title
Bethesda Softworks has confirmed the full title of the next mainline Elder Scrolls game: The Elder Scrolls VI: Sentinel.
The name arrived in a video titled The Elder Scrolls VI: Official Name Reveal, posted to Bethesda’s official YouTube channel on 3 November.
The video’s description carries a single line of announcement: “Your next journey to Tamriel will be in The Elder Scrolls VI: Sentinel.”
Above that line sits an in-world quotation, credited to “Yazar, Moth Priest to High Queen Iradne of Hammerfell (4E 206)”.
The quotation reads: “The scroll offered only a shimmer, a veil thinly lifted to my eyes. A future lost. A victory undone. Sands of time scattered by fate.”
The description names two places, Tamriel and Hammerfell. It gives no release date, no platforms and no price, and it points players to the official Elder Scrolls website for more information.
Bethesda’s news page, read on 5 November, carried no separate announcement post for the game.

A second video sits beside the reveal on the channel, Celebrating 40 Years of Bethesda Game Studios.
The Elder Scrolls Online has already picked up the thread. Its 3 November news item, Golden Pursuits—Alik’r Awaits, is summarised on Bethesda.net as an invitation to “defend Alik’r with a new Golden Pursuits campaign”, run “in celebration of Bethesda Game Studios’ recent reveal”.
For now, Sentinel is a confirmed name and a few lines of in-world verse, with every other detail still to come from Bethesda.
