Ubisoft Walks Through Its Rayman Remake Before December
Ubisoft has released a game overview trailer for Rayman Legends Retold, running about six minutes. The remake is out on 3 December.
Rayman Legends Retold is what Ubisoft calls “a bold reimagining of the acclaimed platformer”, developed by Ubisoft Montpellier and Ubisoft Milan. It is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC.
On PC it will be sold through Steam, the Epic Games Store and the Ubisoft Store. The Australian Steam listing has it at A$69.95.
Ubisoft’s description sets up a new story. A shadowy villain spreads corruption across the Glade of Dreams, and a “new foe stirring trouble from the underworld” is behind it.
The remake keeps “a rich selection of iconic levels”, according to Ubisoft. It adds a sixth realm, four new musical stages, dragon rides and the Cave of Trials.
Cinematics are now voiced. The soundtrack has been expanded by Christophe Héral and Grant Kirkhope, mixing original themes with new compositions.
Local co-op covers the whole game. The entire adventure can be played with up to four players on one couch, which Ubisoft describes as “racing for Lums or knocking each other off to claim every last Teensy”.
The musical stages remain the headline act. In those levels, according to Ubisoft, every move “must sync with the beat”, and four new ones have been added.
Kung Foot also returns. Ubisoft says the football mode has improved controls, power-ups and customisable rules.
Rayman Legends Retold launches on 3 December 2026 on all four platforms. Pre-orders are open on the Australian Steam store now.
