Telltale Reopens Fabletown
The Wolf Among Us Remastered is out now, and Telltale says it has revisited every corner of Bigby’s world for the new release.
The studio’s launch announcement went up on Steam at 12:02am AEDT on Friday 30 October, by our conversion.
The list of changes covers enhanced environments, improved character fidelity, upgraded lighting, refined animations and remastered audio. Telltale says all of it is meant to bring renewed atmosphere and intensity to the original experience.
Launch day also had a stream of the first episode on Telltale’s Twitch channel, with Adam Harrington and Molly Benson, the voice actors for Bigby and Nerissa.
Telltale says the work goes beyond the visuals. Five playable Deleted Scenes, restored from the original episodes but never part of the final release, are included as special features.
An optional Noir Mode plays the whole adventure in cinematic black and white.
There is also a gallery of more than 100 pieces of artwork, along with over an hour of developer interviews that Telltale describes as exclusive.
The biggest news for returning players is about the sequel. Telltale confirms that defining choices made in Remastered will carry forward into The Wolf Among Us 2.
To carry them over, players need to sign in to a Telltale Account while playing Remastered. Those choices then follow Bigby into the next season of the story.
On the Australian Steam store it is A$27.96, which is 20% off its A$34.95 price. Telltale says its launch discounts, of up to 50% off, run until 12 November.
The Steam listing is for Windows. It was eighth on Steam’s Australian top sellers list early this morning.
The release was also part of the Xbox week ahead earlier this week. Telltale has not said in this post when more will be revealed about The Wolf Among Us 2.
