Complete Edition Costs A$54.95, With 75 Per Cent Off For Original Owners
Total War: Shogun 2 – Complete Edition is out now on Steam. The Total War team announced the launch in a Steam post at 2:01am AEDT on Wednesday 14 October.
The post is short. It says “Get a 75% discount if you own the original game on Steam”, and it gives no price and no list of changes.
On Steam in Australia the edition costs A$54.95. Steam lists Windows only, with Creative Assembly and MATABOO as developers and SEGA as publisher.
The store page describes the updated, enhanced and complete version of the strategy game, with all of its DLC, including the Rise of the Samurai and Fall of the Samurai campaigns.

Its list of updates covers improved visuals, with updated lighting, shadows and textures, plus 1440p and 4K UI scaling and modernised controls.
It also names new full Japanese and Chinese voice acting and text localisation, and more than 50 newly playable minor factions.
Mod support is built in through Mod.io, and the game has had a 64-bit upgrade.
Players have not welcomed it so far. When we checked on Wednesday 14 October, 242 of 1,231 Steam reviews were positive, and Steam labelled the game Overwhelmingly Negative.
That is a snapshot from launch day, and it will move. The reviews are Steam users’ votes and not a verdict from us, since we have not played the game.
The 75 per cent offer is the detail to check on the store page for anyone who already owns the original.
