Housemarque has released a free update for Saros called Zenith, adding a New Game+ mode, a leaderboard mode and a set of accessibility options. Design lead Abebe Tinari set it all out in a PlayStation Blog post dated 19 October.
Tinari writes that the update is available “to all Saros owners for no additional charge”. The post gives no time of day or time zone for the release.
For newcomers, the post leads with two settings. Slow Game Speed slows the game down — enemy attacks stay the same — and the player sets how much, and whether it triggers automatically in combat or by hand. Auto-fire shoots automatically while the player is aiming at a hostile, though reloading stays manual. Motion Sensor Aiming is also added.
Zenith also expands the Carcosan Modifier system with 10 new Protection Modifiers, which make the game easier, and 10 new Trial Modifiers, which make it harder. Tinari names Corruption Melee Enhancement and Hostile Regeneration as examples.
The Trials feed the New Game+ mode, Eclipse Layers. After clearing the game, new nodes appear in the Armor Matrix at Passage. Each layer asks the player to pick a loadout of modifiers, with a minimum threshold to meet, from 25 Trials in all.

Taking on more Trials gives Arjun a Crown and golden armour that grow with the Modifier Balance. The Crown also gates 12 collectable Visions, murals and messages across Carcosa, with some text visible only at higher Crown levels.
The last addition is Overlord Rush, reached through the Primary Unit in Passage. It is a race to defeat the main game’s Overlords, scored on a leaderboard that can be filtered by main weapon. The “Incursion” and “Ascension” Sets hold three Overlords each and the post says they take about 10 minutes. “Totality” lines up all eight in one run.
The post notes that the leaderboard needs an internet connection and a PlayStation account.

Tinari describes Saros as “one of the highest rated action games of 2026”. That is the developer’s own claim, and no review scores are cited here.
