Freshly Baked Games Opens The Isle Of Neasied

Queen’s Domain is out now on Steam, and its developer has already shipped a first patch.

Freshly Baked Games posted its launch announcement at 3:57am AEDT on Saturday 31 October, by our conversion. The studio said the game had passed 300,000 wishlists before launch.

The Steam page sums the game up in one line: “A retro-fantasy action RPG with brutal combat and traversal-focused exploration.” The player washes up on the Isle of Neasied to look for a missing father.

Combat is built around a stamina meter, charge attacks, weapon-specific special attacks and secondary throwing weapons, according to the store page.

The page lists more than 50 melee weapons, over 20 types of throwing weapons and more than 100 enemies, mini bosses and bosses. The Holy Sword Endu lets the player fly from platform to platform, and upgrades extend how far.

The launch post also said the game is coming to Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series and PS5. It gave no date for those versions.

Steam lists Windows only for the PC release. The console versions are listed as coming, not out. The store page names Freshly Baked Games as developer and Future Friends Games as publisher.

On the Australian Steam store, the game is A$24.05 with a 15% launch discount, down from A$28.30.

It was sixth on Steam’s Australian top sellers in the early hours of Sunday, when the chart was read.

Version 1.01.01 followed at 3:13pm AEDT on Saturday, by our conversion. The patch notes list six fixes, including a soft lock in the Pit of Despair, a freeze when weapons evolve, a stuck Executioner door and a Mimic freeze bug.

The studio’s launch trailer is below.

The launch post closed by sending players off to find that missing father on the Isle of Neasied.
