Krafton has set out a new competitive structure for PUBG Esports in 2027, and no team will keep a guaranteed place at the global events.

The changes are in the PUBG Esports Team’s post, 2027 PUBG Esports: What’s Changing, published on Steam on 28 October.

The regions change first. EMEA is divided into Europe, Eurasia and MENA, and the Americas into North America and South America.

India joins as a new competitive region. The post does not mention Oceania or the Asia-Pacific region.

The year is split into four Phases. Each Phase runs a Regional League, which feeds a PUBG Global Series (PGS) event.

A PGS spot in one Phase does not carry into the next. Teams have to qualify again each time through their Regional League.

The biggest change is to the Global Partner Team program. The post states it plainly:

“As part of this competitive restructuring, starting in 2027, the Global Partner Team (GPT) program will evolve into a partnership focused on collaborative in-game items and marketing activities. All teams, including existing GPT teams, will need to earn their place at PGS through their performance in each Phase’s Regional League, without guaranteed slots. Further details on the updated partnership will be shared in a future announcement.”

Points change too. PUBG Esports Points replace the current PGC Points and PGS Points, and they will be awarded only for results at PGS, then count toward qualification for the PUBG Global Championship.

The schedule is given as approximate windows, and the post says it is subject to change. Phase 1 runs from late March to early May, and Phase 2 from mid May to mid June.

The 2027 PUBG Nations Cup follows in early July. Phase 3 runs from early August to mid September, and Phase 4 from late September to early November.

The 2027 PUBG Global Championship closes the year, from late November to early December.

Points distribution, PGC qualification and each Regional League’s format will be announced separately, according to the post. The current season is still running, with the PGS 12 Survival Stage on 29 October. The PGS Circuit 4 schedule has the 2026 points race.
