Activision Opens Hajin To Pre-Order Players Ahead Of Launch
DMZ early access for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is live on Steam. Activision’s announcement says “Hajin is now an active Exclusion Zone.”
The Steam post went up at 21:41 UTC on 20 October, which is 8:41am AEDT on Wednesday 21 October by our conversion. It is three short paragraphs and one image.
Its core instruction reads “Your mission is clear: deploy, complete your objectives, and make it out alive.” The post adds that “DMZ Early Access is live now.”
Access is not open to everyone. Activision’s earlier DMZ announcement, from 9 October, says early access to all of DMZ starts on Tuesday 20 October for players who have digitally pre-ordered or pre-purchased the game.
On Steam, that covers the Standard Digital Edition and the Vault Edition. The same post says Campaign early access began on Friday 16 October for the same players.

The 9 October post describes DMZ as Call of Duty’s action extraction shooter, with persistent progression and an open-world combat environment. Players loot, craft and complete objectives, then extract with what they have found.
Between deployments, players return to a Forward Operating Base. The post says that is where they offload loot, gear up and receive their next orders.
The launch date is where the two sources differ. The 9 October post refers to the “October 23 launch” and says start dates are “subject to possible outages and applicable time zone differences.” Steam’s store page, read on 22 October, lists a release date of 22 October and still shows the game as coming soon.

Steam’s Australian listing prices Modern Warfare 4 at A$109.95, for Windows. It sat first on Steam’s Australian top sellers list when we read it on 22 October.
The 20 October post closes by asking Steam players who have tried the game to leave a review.
