Trapstar Games has released patch 1.0.10 for Hood Warfare 2, adding an anti-cheat system and voice chat.
The studio posted the patch notes on Steam at 3:35am AEDT on Tuesday 13 October. It released the game on Steam on 8 October, and Steam lists Trapstar Games as both developer and publisher.
The notes open with voice chat. Players can talk to the whole lobby or just their team.
Push to talk is on by default, using the T key, and an open mic is an option in settings.
The anti-cheat addition answers complaints from players. The studio’s own words are below.
“Many of yall addressed concerns over cheating so we implemented an anti cheat system to hopefully prevent some of it. If you see a cheater, please use the “Report” feature in the pause menu as well. We review the reports often so if a player gets a lot of reports and we deem them to be cheating they will be banned.”
The studio does not name the anti-cheat system it uses.
The patch also adjusts spawns and adds spawn protection. The notes say some maps are small, so time to kill will stay short on maps such as supermarket, but spawns should be better overall.
The notes list more than 10 bug fixes and quality-of-life changes. Most involve loadout presets not saving, progression not showing correctly at the end of a match, player selection not saving and ping not showing accurately on the join match screen.
Drive-by locations were also adjusted on some maps.
The developer note thanks players for launch weekend and says “Stay tuned as this is one of many updates to come.”
On Steam in Australia the game costs A$7.65. The notes give no date for the next update.
