Premium Warbond Adds A Sniper Rifle, A Machine Pistol And Two Armours
Arrowhead Game Studios says the Scope of Authority Premium Warbond for Helldivers 2 launches on 20 October. The announcement ran on the PlayStation Blog, written by Arrowhead’s social media and community manager.
The post gives a date and no time of day. It also gives no price, and it says the Warbond “Requires base game, Super Credits and game progression to unlock.”
The weapons are led by the R-40 Sightliner, a bolt-action sniper rifle. The post says it offers armour-piercing rounds and long-range precision.
The P-44 Mist is a one-handed machine pistol designed for compact carry. The AMW-20 Apex is a backpack-fed anti-materiel rifle with assisted reload.
The LAS-44 Nova joins the LAS series of energy weapons. The post says it has infinite ammo and fires a high-precision, non-explosive thermal projectile after a short charge cycle.
The G-11 Caltrops is thrown, and the post says it scatters proximity-detonated submunitions that slow and stun foes.
There are two armours. The SS-33 Mimetic Marshal is light armour inspired by ghillie suits, and the SS-15 Focal Point is medium armour with integrated adaptive camouflage and an asymmetrical visor.
Both carry the Stationary Shroud passive. The post says it reduces weapon sway and detection range while crouched or prone.
The Warbond also includes the Manual Ballistic Projection emote, matching capes and player cards, and a title, Longshot.
Arrowhead’s own wording puts the focus on long-range and clandestine play, and the date is the one fixed detail for squads planning ahead.
