Arrowhead’s 7.2.0 notes give the Killzone and Halo warbond weapons a base-stat lift, because they cannot take attachments. Several stratagems are retuned too.

The 7.2.0 notes went up on Steam on 20 October. They sit beside the change to Easy Anti-Cheat and the Scope of Authority warbond.

Arrowhead’s reasoning is that legendary warbond weapons get no customisation, so they need “a slight increase in their base stats to compensate”. If you run one, check the numbers below before your next drop.

The M90A Shotgun’s damage rises from 605 to 726. The MA5C Assault Rifle’s vertical drift falls from 20 to 15 and its vertical climb from 30 to 20. The StA-52 Assault Rifle gets a seventh spare magazine, and the StA-11 SMG’s damage goes from 90 to 100.

The PLAS-39 Accelerator Rifle reloads in 2.7 seconds instead of 3.3, and its stagger strength drops from 20 to 15, so a second shot is less likely to miss a weak spot. The LAS-16 Sickle now starts firing 0.33 seconds after the trigger is pressed, down from 0.5.

Light-penetration shotguns are stronger as well. Damage goes from 405 to 486 on the SG-8 Punisher and from 330 to 396 on the SG-225 Breaker. The SG-22 Bushwhacker sidearm goes from 450 to 540.

On the stratagem side, the M-1000 Maxigun now returns movement control after firing in 0 seconds, where it was 0.5. The CQC-20 Breaching Hammer carries 10 spare charges instead of 7. The Orbital Airburst Strike cooldown falls from 100 to 90 seconds, and its explosion cone narrows from 35 to 27 degrees.

The EXO-51 Lumberer and the A/FLAM-40 Flame Sentry see flame particle damage rise from 3 to 8. Eagle Airstrike Gas has its demolition strength cut from 50 to 40, so it can only destroy what other Eagle bombs can.

The Bile bug strain, which spawns Bile Warriors, Spewers and Scavengers, now has its own strain controlled by the Game Masters. A hotfix, 7.2.1, followed on 22 October and fixed a crash that happened when another player joined or left the squad.

The post gives no Australian time for the update. Steam lists Arrowhead Game Studios as developer and PlayStation Publishing LLC as publisher. When we read Steam’s most-played chart on 26 October, Helldivers 2 ranked 18th, up from 24th the week before.
