Sony Sets The Pre-Download Date For Rockstar’s Launch
Grand Theft Auto VI can be pre-downloaded on PlayStation 5 from 10 November, nine days before the game unlocks. Sony gave the date in a PlayStation Blog post on 3 November.
According to the post, pre-download opens at “November 10 local midnight” for players who have pre-ordered. It also tells players to clear “a minimum of 212GB” of storage on the console before then.
The Australian PlayStation Store lists the game for 12:00am AEDT on 19 November. Both of its editions now carry a 9-Day Pre-load, which lines up with the 10 November date in Sony’s post.
When the same store was checked for an earlier report on 29 October, the listing said 7-Day Pre-load. The window is now two days longer.

The Standard Edition is A$129.95 and the Ultimate Edition is A$159.95 on the Australian store. Each one includes the Vintage Vice City Pack and one month of GTA+.
The store’s terms say the GTA+ month applies to digital pre-orders or purchases made on PlayStation Store by 19 November. It has to be claimed by 31 March 2027, and after the first month the subscription continues at the regular monthly price until it is cancelled.
Sony’s post describes the Ultimate Edition as adding “an exclusive collection of premium vehicles, weapons, apparel, and action threaded across all aspects of Jason and Lucia’s story”.

The rest of the post is a launch-day checklist. It covers setting up a PlayStation account, pre-ordering, clearing space and finishing the console setup, and it points players who are short of room to the options for extending PS5 storage.
The Australian listing carries the consumer advice Drug Use, High Impact Violence, Sex Scenes, and notes that in-game purchases are optional.
Sony says more information on the game will follow closer to the 19 November launch.
